A Kitchen Reimagined | From 1972 to Timeless
This renovation reimagines a dark and dated 1972 kitchen into a warm, functional, and transitional space designed for gathering, cooking and modern family living. We blended fresh finishes, smart storage, and custom craftsmanship to create a kitchen that finally feels like home.
Project Highlights:
- Removed layers of wallpaper, popcorn ceilings, and fluorescent lighting to brighten and modernize the space
- Replaced outdated ceramic floors with luxury vinyl planks that now flow seamlessly across the entire main level
- Installed a 9-foot dark-stained island built for gathering, hosting, and added storage
- Added counter-to-ceiling backsplash tile and rich wood accents with gold hardware for an open, modern, and elevated aesthetic
- Transformed an unused wall into a full coffee bar + storage zone with two floor-to-ceiling pantry cabinets
- Upgraded the laundry room entry with a custom walnut sliding door for a bold, modern touch
- Incorporated custom matching stained floating shelves inside the laundry room for visual continuity and smart storage
